Vietnam Veterans Day
"Welcome Home Comrades"
Vietnam Veterans day is for U.S. Armed Forces personnel with active duty service between November 1, 1955 to May 15, 1975, the commemoration makes no distinction between veterans who served in-county, in-theater, or were stationed elsewhere during those 20 years.
These veterans served during a time with no public support and were most often the subjects of humiliation, those opposed to the war, when they returned home. They never received the welcome they so richly deserved. Whether drafted or volunteered, their service should be celebrated.
Thank you to all who served during this difficult time and welcome home.
