WW Jones Cookout Scheduled for May 22nd

The WW Jones Cookout at the Georgia War Veterans Home, 2249 Vinson Hwy, Milledgeville, GA 31061 will be on May 22, 2021.

Volunteers are needed to set-up and serve food to the veterans. Please arrive by 9:30 am. Food will be served from 11:30 am - 2:30 pm. Meat will be prepared by Post 6686 Eatonton.
Food items and paper products are needed to feed 250 veterans, staff and guests. Please coordinate these items with Chairman Dick Dickens at 706-485-5322 (home) or 706-816-9317 (cell).
If you are unable to donate food or paper products, financial donations can be sent to State Headquarters at P.O. Box 3025, Macon, GA 31205. Please put WW Jones Cookout on the Memo Line.
District Commanders and Presidents, please get the word out to your Posts. We look forward to a large turnout to support our Veterans in the Georgia War Home.

For those of you who might not have seen this. VFW National's fiscal year ends August 31st. "The Member Service Center is preparing for the VFW fiscal year-end, please be advised on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at 11:30 am CDT dues payments, installment payments, installment enrollment, magazine subscriptions, member transfers, and member updates will be taken, but will experience a slight delay in processing. We expect to resume normal processing on or before Wednesday, September 8, 2022. "We will continue to take store orders during VFW Store inventory which begins Thursday, August 25, 2022, and runs through Wednesday, August 31, 2022; however, shipping of orders or the processing of cancellations/returns will not be available until September 1, 2022."
