Dear VFW and Auxiliary Department and Post leaders,

With the pandemic and social distancing guidelines still impacting many cities across the nation, this year Hal will encourage members to safely visit their local Burger King restaurant the week of Flag Day, June 14-18, 2021. Whether you dine in, use the drive-thru or have Burger King delivered, it’s important for each of us to find ways to show our appreciation to Burger King. Since 2007, Burger King franchisees have raised more than $6.5 million for the program, helping the VFW to provide more than $12 million in assistance to America’s military and veteran families.

More details and support elements to this important occasion will be included in the email from Hal next week. Please utilize the materials he will provide, as well as your communication channels to help ensure VFW and Auxiliary members participate in this nationwide event!

Conducted QM Training

We held a monthly QM training class tonight. We covered: Time for annual Incorporation update. A new link has been added to the Quartermaster Continuity Book on the Georgia VFW webpage (georgiavfw.org) under the Resources tab. Went over the General Order (#6) that was sent out today. End of year is coming up so help your Post make sure they have all bases covered. (The program year ends on April 30.) Discussed an email from Georgia Secretary of State office saying that they will be sending out info on the Annual Bingo Report and that the due date may be slipped till the end of April. Stay tuned and let QM Carroll know if you hear any more detail on this.

New Bonding Info and Checklist Up

Just put the 2022-23 bonding info up on the QM Continuity page. Rates are the same as last year but please read the bonding notes.  We also updated the QM checklist for the new year. You'll know you have the new one because it says "2022-23" on the top and it has green highlights instead of red. Thanks for all you do!
